Age of innocence

What say you on the issue below?

ROARS of laughter filled the air as a group of children gathered at the Batu Uban field in Taman Desa Riang, Penang, to celebrate Children’s Day.

Instead of holding a party, the 20 children aged between seven and 12 residing within the vicinity organised their own activities to commemorate the day.

Freewheeling style: The children from Desa Riang enjoying a game of football at the Batu Uban field in Penang

The sparkle in their eyes reflected the spirit of the wonderful occasion as they played football and ran around the field, taking in the fresh air.

Spotted among the vibrant and lively crowd were nine-year-old Nurul Adiyana Abdullah Sani and Mohd Firman Mohd Zulkahar, 11.

They were laughing merrily as they swayed on the swings.

Universal Children’s Day falls on Nov 20 but the occasion is normally celebrated in October in Malaysia.
