AT THE recent Ex-patriate Lifestyle magazine’s annual showcase celebration for the Best Of Malaysia awards held recently in Kuala Lumpur, One World Hotel was awarded the Excellence Award under the Best City Hotel category; making the hotel the only five-star hotel in Petaling Jaya to have won this award for the fourth consecutive year.
Expatriate Lifestyle editorial director Matt Bellotti said: “These awards are now in their sixth year and are the only award of its kind.
“The Best Of Malaysia is a celebration of tourism and hospitality experiences in Malaysia, which surely rank among the very best in the world.
“These awards were voted for by expatriates who never cease to impress me with their knowledge and opinions of the best places to see, stay, eat and enjoy. The field of winning properties this year is stronger than ever.”

Our staff’s commitment to excellence and consistency in maintaining the standards have earned us this coveted award,” said Ho.
“I wish to thank all the hotel staff for their hard work and dedication they have put forth in making One World the best in the five-star category. Rest assured we will not rest on our laurels but will work towards more recognition from the travel industry,” he added.
One World Hotel was the official hotel for Liverpool and Chelsea FC Asia Tour to Malaysia in July, as well as the Sime Darby LPGA Tournament in October 2011.
“Being appointed as official hotels for these prestigious sporting events is further testament of the hotel’s excellence in service delivery and product,” Ho said.
