RUNNERS taking part in the PJ Half Marathon stand a chance to win short vacations at interesting places and computer printers in raffle draws.

There are also items in the goodie bags that await participants which include shower foams, beverages in bottles, soy milk and coffee sachets to perk up the morning.

Bukit Gambang Resort City (BGRC) has sponsored three package deals of two-days one-night stays at their Carribean Suites.

BGRC manager, marketing and communications Karen Tan said the stay is for two persons and includes breakfast.

“It would be a wonderful experience to win the raffle draw and enjoy the stay at the resort,” she said.

She was accompanied by BGRC marketing and communications executive Zoe Soo.

Fitness Concept marketing manager Char Min said his company was sponsoring three package deals of three days and two nights stay to Bali, Phuket, island or highland holiday spots in Malaysia.

“We hope families win the raffle draw as the school holidays are approaching. It would certainly be a great prize for the children,” she said.

Another raffle draw that runners stand to win are Canon Selphy printers worth RM549 each.

Canon Marketing (M) Sdn Bhd marketing communications, imaging communication products division assistant manager Joey Low said the printers are a good prize to win.

Apart from the holiday packages, Southern Lion Sdn Bhd is giving out 4,000 units of 40ml Shokubutsu Active Guard anti-bacterial shower foam bottles.

Southern Lion product executive marketing division Eve Goh Su Hoon said the shower foam was good to refresh oneself, especially those who are involved in sports.

Super Food Marketing Sdn Bhd event and promotions manager Serrene Yap Siu Hui said the company was sponsoring RM5,000 worth of Super Charcoal Roasted Ipoh White Coffee and Super 100% Organic Soy Milk sachets.

Costrio Marketing Sdn Bhd general manager Kevin Lim said his company was sponsoring 4,800 bottles of beverages in five flavours for the goodie bags.

“Our drinks are natural as there is no preservatives and is good for a year,” he said.

Cotra Enterprise is contributing RM10,000 worth of products for the marathon.

For runners who experience joint pain, Ebene Bio-Ray is sponsoring three of its products in 10 hampers.

Ebene Bio-Ray Healthcare group product manager Shellies Tan said the Ebene Bio-Ray product has been in the market for five years and the feedback from consumers has been good.

“Our product encourages circulation of blood that carries oxygen thus it reinvigorates the nerves and reduces stiffness or pain in the joints,” she added.

All three products — Bio-Ray Knee Guard, Elbow Guard and Multi purpose Gloves are worth RM5,000.

Another firm, BP Health Care Group, who has been a regular sponsor of outdoor activities, sponsored 9,000 discount vouchers for health screenings, free bone mineral density and audiometry test.

BP Health Care group has 30 years experience in preventive medical care and promotes healthy living.

Its investment and finance director Chevy Beh said his company was glad to be part of the PJ Half Marathon.
