AFIRE station is the latest addition to the many establishments built in KidZania Kuala Lumpur — an indoor educational and entertainment theme park that is set to be a hit for children who love role playing.

The park will give them the opportunity to perform different adult jobs.

Themed Attractions and Resorts Sdn Bhd, the owner-operator of KidZania Kuala Lumpur, recently welcomed its latest marketing partner Fitters Diversified Bhd, thus drawing to a grand total of RM10mil partnerships value to KidZania.

The signing was witnessed by Fire Prevention Council Malaysia chairman Datuk Soh Chai Hock, who is also director of Fitters, and Fire and Rescue Department director-general Datuk Wan Mohd Nor Ibrahim.

Tunku Ahmad Burhanuddin said Themed Attractions was still looking for a diversified group of partners before the theme park’s opening in January 2012.

“The partnership with Fitters creates yet another fun-filled profession to enjoy. It is an avenue for children to learn about risks and dangers that can arise from a single flame as well as learning to foster teamwork and a sense of responsibility as they work together to put out a fire,” he said.

Since, it is a first of its kind in Malaysia, Tunku Ahmad Burhanuddin said the theme park would definitely draw many locals to Curve NX, a new building across the Curve shopping mall connected by a link bridge.

“We project 500,000 visitors next year,” he said adding that KidZania could accommodate up to 1,700 people at any one time.

“Our total investment in it is RM80mil. This theme park will set the benchmark as Malaysia has not seen anything like this before,” he said,

KidZania is a joint development between Themed Attractions and Boustead Group. It will house 59 different establishment and provide 90 different vocations for children to experience. Around the world, there are KidZanias in cities such as Mexico City, Tokyo, Jakarta, Seoul, Lisbon and Dubai.
