OVER 300,000 people are expected to visit the Kuala Lumpur International Motorshow (KLIMS) come December 2010.

The 7th edition of KLIMS, which coincides with the Malaysian Automotive Association’s 50th anniversary celebrations, will open its doors to the public from Dec 3 to Dec 12 at the Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur.

The organiser, Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA), is confident that ticket sales will top the 300,000 mark as motoring enthusiasts, car buyers and fun-seeking families will visit what is set to be the year-end extravaganza.

MAA is also confident that the recovery of the economic landscape will further boost the participation of car manufacturers who will be eager to showcase their latest products that are set to excite and capture the hearts of all visitors to KLIMS.

The 10-day exhibition is set to be an exciting showcase of the latest in emerging auto technology including the newest models and a selection of concept and revolutionary vehicles.

“We are truly excited as preparation for the show are moving forward,” said MAA president Datuk Aishah Ahmad, who is also chairman of the KLIMS’10 Organising Committee.

“With strong signals that the global economy is making a positive turnaround, this is clearly reflected in the interest shown by car brands in increasing the size of their exhibition space and the influx of car makers seeking to participate in December.

“We believe that KLIMS’10 will be a great platform for automakers to showcase their new models.

She promised “a fantastic show for all motoring fans.

“We are confident that more exhibitors will be joining in to showcase their product designs and technological ingenuity,” she added.
