A 42-inch Plasma TV set, 29 hampers and a grand prize of RM33,888 await lucky visitors to the ongoing Expo Cintai Malaysia (ECM) 2009.
To grab these prizes, all you need to do is shop at the exhibition that is held at the Malaysia International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC) at the Mines Resort City.
For every RM50 spent, visitors would be entitled to a contest entry form that requires them to guess the total accumulated points of selected products displayed in a transparent container.
They also need to complete a slogan and attach proof of purchase (receipts) with the entry forms.
“To increase their chances of winning, the participants can buy one more entry form for RM2,” ECM 2009 deputy organising chairman- cum-events sub-committee chairman Khoo Ee Ping said.
In a simple ceremony on Wednesday the products comprising packets of drinks, snacks, chips, and rice were placed inside the box.
The designated points for each product are displayed at the contest area.
Khoo added that six auditors from BDO Binder and Ong Boon Bah & Co, a panel of judges and representatives from sponsors - Syarikat Letrik Chen Guan managing director Choong Yew Lin, Hai-O Enterprise advertising and promotions executive Joyce Chong and Yee Lee Trading executive director Lim Kim Kow will be invited to ensure the smooth running and transparency of the contest.
The contest is open to all Malaysian citizens aged 18 and above.
The entry forms must be dropped into the designated collection boxes before 6pm on Sunday.
Themed Opportunities in economic crisis, ECM 2009 is organised by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor (KLSCCCI) .
The exhibition is on until Sunday from 11am to 10pm. Admission is free.
