What say you on the issue below?

KUANTAN: A coffin maker is offering a RM20,000 reward for information on the pre-dawn fire that razed his shop on Thursday and killed a worker.

FLS Care Sdn Bhd managing director Lee Wann Yik, who runs his family's coffin shop in Jalan Mat Kilau here, said it was arson that destroyed two new lorries and dozens of coffins.

He estimated losses at nearly RM1 million.

His long-serving worker, Chong Shoe @Chong Futt Kiew, 63, died at the Tengku Ampuan Afzan hospital a few hours later after being pulled out of the burning shop.

Chong was asleep with four other workers on the first floor when the fire broke out.

The four workers ran for safety without realising that he was still in his room.

Lee said a witness claimed to have seen three men around the premises before the fire broke out and they were seen running away from the scene after throwing an object into the staff quarters.

"I hope someone will come forward to assist police with information which will lead to the arrest of the arsonists."

Deputy district police chief Superintendent Zulkifli Taha said police were waiting for the full report from the Fire and Rescue Department on the cause of the fire.

"A witness did come forward to lodge a police report and we are investigating," said Zulkifli.
