PERMODALAN Nasional Bhd's (PNB) unit, Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB), has announced an income distribution of 6.20 sen per unit forAmanah Saham Nasional 3 Imbang (ASN 3) for the financial year ending November 30.
The payout is lower than the 6.40 sen per unit paid out last year, which also recorded the highest payout for the fund in five years.
President and group chief executive Tan Sri Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman said the lower payout was due to the tough market conditions and other economic factors throughout the year.
"It is still satisfying as we still managed to maintain a competitive income distribution rate," he told a press conference after announcing the income distribution, here, yesterday.
"We have a full income distribution capacity of about 11.8 sen per unit but we are only paying out 6.20 sen per unit... the balance will be kept for future distribution to ensure a stable rate of payment in the long term," he added.
