UDA Holdings Berhad marked its 40th anniversary with the launch of personalised corporate stamps featuring their iconic projects to commemorate its establishment and successes so far.
Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Dr Awang Adek Hussin launched the series of stamps issued in eight different designs — marking UDA Holdings’ latest addition to their fleet of projects, the Ancasa Express @ Pudu hotel in Kuala Lumpur on Dec 6.
“UDA today stands proud of its achievements over the last four decades for upholding the bumiputera’s agenda and continues to strengthen equity ownership of Bumiputeras especially in the city.
“With the launch of Ancasa Express @ Pudu hotel, located strategically in the middle of tourist attractions like Petaling Street, Masjid India and KL Tower, UDA can further contribute to the tourism sector as well as produce more job opportunities, giving a positive impact to the economy, in line with the 10th Malaysia Plan which envisions the tourism industry to provide two million jobs by 2015,” he said.
Uda Holdings Berhad chairman Datuk Nur Jazlan Tan Sri Mohamed said 20,000 stamps valued at 30 cents each have been issued and will be used for corporate correspondence.
“However, 5,000 stamps will also be sold to the public at all UDA Holdings corporate offices,” he said.
The stamps consist of eight different pictures which are of BB Plaza, Pudu Sentral, Sinaran TTDI, Bandar Tun Hussein Onn, Ancasa All Suites Resort and Spa in Port Dickson, Jerejak Rainforest in Penang, Ancasa Hotel and Spa the newly launched Ancasa Express @ Pudu hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
Ancasa Express @ Pudu hotel is a modern budget hotel located on the fourth floor of Pudu Central (formerly known as Puduraya). Room rates start from RM118 onwards.
