IT’S that time of the year again, where festivity is high and the spirit of giving is in the air. Metrojaya is in the thick of the action as it spreads Christmas joy to five charity homes.
Themed “A Season of Giving”, Metrojaya is all about sharing the goodwill and rejoicing this season with the less privileged folks in the community.
Having successfully raised funds amounting to RM30,000, Metrojaya presented cheques to Rainbow Home, Pertubuhan Pendidikan Anak-Anak Yatim Selangor, Rumah Orang Tua Ampang, Persatuan Rumah Warga Emas and Rumah Amal Cheshire Selangor at Corus Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
The cheques were presented by Metrojaya Group of Companies executive director Pel Loh alongside Social Welfare director of community development Wan Noraidah Wan Mohd Zain.
Loh said it was a fundamental responsibility to always give back to the society.
“While our business continues to grow, we would like to take a step back and celebrate with the community.
“We believe it is our responsibility to remember those in need, especially during the year-end gift-giving season,” she said.
During the event, children from the Rainbow Home performed Christmas songs to entertain the guests and add to the Christmas cheer.
Guests, children and beneficiaries were also treated to a special lunch buffet spread at Dondang Sayang Cafe in Corus Hotel.
They also received goodie bags from the hotel.
