CHRISTMAS at the Curve is celebrated on a whimsical note this year.
A magnificent castle takes centre stage at the mall’s centre court, which has been transformed into an Enchanted Christmas Kingdom of the kings and queens, knights, fairies and wizards.
Jolly characters such as Queen Clarisa, Proteus the Snow Wizard, Princess Sherwina, Snowbell the Ice Fairy and friends are ready to entertain shoppers with “A Celebration of Joy: A Christmas Dance Production”.
Meanwhile, a spectacular 9.1m Christmas tree flanked by golden arches at the piazza also adds to the festivity.
About 20 children from Precious Children Home had an early Christmas celebration at the mall recently.
They made their very own Christmas angels with the materials provided, mingled with Santa Claus and his little Santarinas, and then sang a medley of Christmas songs along with DeeGee Kenny Lite and Easy.
The event continued with Christmas carolling by Dithyrambic Singers before the children took over the stage to perform their rendition of Christmas tunes.
The Curve centre manager Adele D. Flores said the shopping mall had produced Christmas wrapping paper and greeting cards for the festival.
“Shoppers who make a minimum donation of RM2 will receive these two items.
“In the spirit of giving, all funds collected will be channelled to Precious Children Home,” she said.
In addition, shoppers will be rewarded with a Christmas mug when they spend a minimum of RM200 (or RM150 for Citibank card holders), a Beary Bear when they spend a minimum of RM400 (or RM350 for Citibank card holders) or a CBTL Contata beverage machine (for Citibank credit card and RC cardholders who spend a minimum of RM20,000 in a day).
A contest with prizes such as hotel stays, iPad2, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Samsung Galaxy SII is open to shoppers who spend a minimum of RM200 (or RM150 for Citibank card holders).
The promotion ends on Jan 1, 2012.
Musicals, dance shows, costume contest, craft-making workshops and fashion shows are lined up throughout the month.
