CHRISTMAS came early for those who attended a community dinner in Air Itam when a group of handicapped members from Penang Cheshire Home dropped by midway to entertain them with heart-warming Christmas carols.
More than 10 people from the home visited the 1Malaysia community dinner hosted by the Technological Association of Malaysia at SJK (C) Shang Wu.
The dinner was attended by some 1,500 members of the diverse communities in the area.
The visitors came dressed in Christmas-themed outfits and they sang merrily a medley of Yuletide tunes.
The jovial group was later joined by Technological Association of Malaysia vice chairman Tang Heap Seng who sang together with the group and other VIPs.
Tang, who is also the association’s Penang branch chair- man, said that the association, which was formed in 1946, had contributed a lot towards the development of the country.
“So far, we have more than 600 members in Penang and our community is growing,” he added.
