IN the spirit of Christmas, Prince Hotel & Residence Kuala Lumpur treated children from the Agathians Shelter to a Christmas party at the hotel’s Eccucino all-day dining restaurant.

The event was organised as part of the hotel’s corporate social responsibility activities.

“We have created a bond with the children since 2008 and we would love to continue this relationship for as long as we can,” said the hotel’s marketing communications director Tina Goh, adding that the hotel would look into fostering ties with other homes in the near future.

Time for presents: Quarm (in black suit) with children from Agathians Shelter during the Christmas Party held at the hotel’s Eccucino all-day dining restaurant.

Hotel general manager Tim Quarm, department heads and staff, and the hotel’s apartment guests joined in to welcome the 40 children and four guardians of the home who were then entertained with various fun-filled activities, including a magical clown show, face painting and sand painting.

The highlight of the event was when Quarm presented Christmas gifts to the children, which were sponsored by the hotel and apartment guests.

The boys from the home also enjoyed a lavish buffet lunch spread of traditional and innovative festive dishes.

They were later given the opportunity to decorate their very own ginger bread house with the help of hotel chefs.

From Dec 22 to Dec 24, the hotel will also invite the shelter to participate in Christmas carols led by La Voce Choir, which will take place under a 6.1m Christmas tree decorated with red and gold ornaments from 7.30pm onwards.
