PETALING JAYA: A gang of robbers on motorcycles robbed two petrol stations in a span of 20 minutes and got away with thousands of ringgit in cash and goods.
The group of around 10 robbers on six motorcycles first showed up at a petrol station near Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur at about 6pm on Wednesday.
Three of the robbers got off their motorcycles and threatened the cashier with their parang (machetes) before escaping with almost RM7,000 in goods and cash, according to Serdang OCPD Asst Comm Megat Mohd Aminuddin Megat Alias.
“They even took a donation box on the counter with about RM200,” he said when contacted Thursday.
About 10 minutes later, the same group arrived at the second petrol station in Bandar Kinrara, Puchong.
This time, they attacked one of the workers there and vandalised the place before looting it.
They also forced a female customer, who was withdrawing cash at the ATM, to give up RM1,000 before they fled.
