A physically challenging golf tourney

AHMAD Fuad Murad won the gross title for the second year in the Pharmaton Palm Resort Golf Challenge 36 at the Palm Resort Golf and Country Club recently.

Ahmad posted a score of 153 to win a trophy and LCD TV set. In the nett category Razak Paon, with a score of 129, emerged as the champion.

A total 226 participants, including golfers from Singapore, Japan, South Korea and Australia, took part in the 36-hole stroke play championship.

Boehringer-Ingelheim head of consumer health Ung Liew Ean said the championship was a physically challenging one.

“The success of the event is proven once again with the impressive response and turnout and we are already looking forward to next year’s tournament,’’ said Ung.
