New-look resort aims to pull in the crowd

LOCATED in the royal town of Seri Menanti, the two-decade old Seri Menanti Resort in Kuala Pilah recently received a new lease of life following a RM7.5mil facelift.

The 29-room resort was officially opened by the Yang di-Pertuan Besar Negri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir.

Resort proprietor JK Holding Sdn Bhd executive chairman Ibrahim Salleh said the resort was opened to the public early last month after upgrading work which began in May was completed.

“Though small, the resort offers five-star accommodation and facilities which include a 80-capacity meeting room and local and international dining options.

Luxury lifestyle: Accommodation at the Seri Menanti Resort includes six water chalets among its 29 rooms.

“Accommodation includes superior and deluxe rooms as well as six water chalets,” said Ibrahim.

The resort, located about 30km from Seremban, is situated amid natural surroundings.

Ibrahim said guests would be able to take part in recreational activities such as jungle-trekking, mountain-climbing, fishing and cycling.

“We hope to attract a steady stream of local and foreign visitors and introduce them to the natural beauty of Negri Sembilan.

“Apart from boosting domestic tourism, there will also be more jobs for the local residents now that we have began operations,” he said.

Also present at the launch was the Tunku Ampuan Besar Negri Sembilan Tuanku Aishah Rohani Tengku Besar Mahmud.
