Inter-faith golf competition a success

What say you on the issue below?

EIGHTY members, 40 each from the Subang Jaya Buddhist Association (SJBA) and Masjid An-nur USJ 4, took part in a golf competition at the Rahman Putra Golf Resort in Sungai Buloh recently.

Even though the players played to win for their teams, the goodwill and give-and-take attitude displayed overrode the results of each and every match.

The team scoring was based on four-ball best ball match-play which was similar to the Ryder Cup.

In the team event, SJBA triumphed with 12 ½ points against 7 ½ points for Masjid An-nur while Izuddin, with 37 points, won the individual category.

All in good spirit: The participants getting together before the start of the competition.

Subang Jaya state assemblyman Hannah Yeoh was the guest of honour at the dinner and prize-giving ceremony.

She was impressed with the event which brought together people from different races and religions as well as the friendly and unified atmosphere that prevailed through the night.
