KPJ Puteri brings joy to children

JOHOR BARU: KPJ Puteri Specialist Hospital (PSH) recently brought cheer to the 31 children at its paediatric ward and outpatient clinic.
KPJ PSH executive director and chief executive director Khairun Ahmad said the hospital observes Children’s Day yearly to celebrate children under its care.
The children were aged three to 12 years old.
Khairun said the hospital has an obligation to bring joy to children admitted to the hospital as the experience may not be pleasant for them.
“I understand how difficult it is for children and parents. In a small way, we want spread some fun to them by celebrating Children’s Day.
“They are precious and kids are the leaders of tomorrow.”
Also present were chief nursing officer Nooratikah Cholan and paediatric ward unit manager Masura Ahmad.
Among the activities were a cake-cutting ceremony, colouring contest and cupcake decorating competition.
The children also received balloons, snacks and goodie bags.
