Make-up artist gets lucky the first time

PROFESSIONAL make-up artist Chen Pei Wong, 24, from Ampang was the lucky winner of a Nissan Grand Livina 1.6 (AT) recently.

Purple-haired Chen, who shops at Sungei Wang Plaza at least four times a week, won the Shop & Win Lucky Draw organised by Sungei Wang Plaza in conjunction with the recent Malaysia Mega Sale Carnival.

Chen had bought a necklace and earrings as a wedding gift for her Taiwanese friends worth RM698 and had participated in the contest.

“This is the first contest I have ever entered in my life and I did it for fun. I was shocked when my name was called out for the grand prize as I did not expect to win anything.

“The contest was so easy. All I had to do was submit my ticket to try my luck,” Chen said after receiving the keys for her new car.

The lucky winners of Shop & Win Lucky Draw were determined through a lucky draw on stage, witnessed by the almost 1,500 shoppers. The contest ran from July 4 to Aug 31.

Shoppers took part by buying a minimum of RM100 in multiple receipts from any shop in Sungei Wang Plaza (except Parkson and Giant Supermarket).

Each shopper was given one lucky draw card for each receipt.

Shoppers also stood to win instant redemption prizes.

“We would like to make our shoppers’ experience even more enjoyable and rewarding,” Sungei Wang Plaza promotions and public relations manager KK Lim said.

The main sponsor for the contest was U Mobile with co-sponsors KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Ogawa, Edaran Tan Chong Motor and Parkroyal Kuala Lumpur.
