Even before the doors were opened, Samsung fans were patiently waiting at Sunway Pyramid to get their hands on the latest Samsung Galaxy Note5.
THE unusual sight of an anxious crowd was seen at the Orange Concourse of Sunway Pyramid shopping centre in Subang Jaya, even before the doors were open on a weekday morning.
The long queue of people were fans eager to get their hands on the new Samsung Galaxy Note5 and great deals courtesy of the Samsung roadshow taking place in the mall.
First in line was Melody Lee, 27, who reached the shopping centre at 5.30am to purchase a second unit of the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Note5 at half the price.
“I came early to make sure I am among the first 100 first customers entitled to the deal offered.
“My friend and I will both pick the gold one for our new units,” said the music teacher.
Lee, a fan of Samsung since the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 hit the market in 2013, said she liked the device’s large screen and camera.
The deal was also offered simultaneously at Gurney Plaza, Penang, and Sutera Mall, Johor Baru, for the first 50 customers in line.
Thanks to the overwhelming response in Sunway Pyramid, the offer was extended to an additional 100 customers in the queue.
“Samsung Malaysia Electronics is extremely proud to witness the overwhelming interest and demand for the newly launched Samsung Galaxy Note5.
“We are grateful for the continuous support of our customers and the turnout during the first few hours since the commencement of our roadshows has been exceptional,” said Samsung Malaysia Electronics Mobile, IT and Digital vice-president Lee Jui Siang.
Throughout the roadshow, Samsung customers can trade in their smartphones for a new Samsung Galaxy Note5 with a discount of up to RM1,100.
In addition, customers who purchase the Note5 and S6 Edge+ during the roadshow will receive a 11,300mAh battery pack and wireless charger worth up to RM538, while stocks last.
The Note5, available in Gold Platinum and White Pearl, retail at RM2,699 while the S6 Edge+, available in Gold Platinum and Black Sapphire, is priced at RM3,099.
The Samsung roadshow at Sunway Pyramid will run until Sept 9.
The event will end on Sept 6 in Gurney Plaza Penang and Sutera Mall Johor Baru.
