THE recent 4th Malaysian Salsa Festival saw 225 participants taking part in the dance event that lasted for four days and three nights at The Legend Resort, Cherating.
Among the international and regional instructors present at the event were Inaki from Britain, Juan Ruiz from the United States, Sharon Pakir from Australia, James and Alex from Dubai, Gupson Pierre from Singapore as well as locals Sachin, KD, Sam Sopiee and Aisha Mansoor.
Singaporean deejays Jason, Mariachi, Najib and Malaysian deejay Xavier provided the pulsating and rhythmic music for the event.
Organised by Linline Sdn Bhd, the event featured salsa workshops from 1pm to 5.45pm whereas the performers and instructors had their technical rehearsals from 10.30am to noon.
Participants also went for frequent dips in the swimming pool and had a few instructors giving them salsa lessons while they cooled themselves off.
After dinner, everyone had a chance to watch international stars and groups perform from 9pm until 10.30pm, just before the start of the all-night-long party that usually lasts until 3am the following day.
The resort also organised a Tenun Pahang demonstration for the participants as well as provide a booth at the lobby where they can buy the products.
