30 Schools Closed Tomorrow Kelantan Flood

Chinese School in Jalan Pekan Rantau Panjang flood flooded following continuous rain since Friday

KOTA BARU: A total of 30 schools in Pasir Mas, Tanah Merah, Kuala Krai and Tumpat closed tomorrow due to flooding that has not subsided.

Kelantan Education Department said in a statement Monday night, resulting in the closure of all schools involved 9,501 students unable to attend the third day of school in 2017.

It also includes 958 teachers and school staff.
Of the student population, a total of 7,746 persons were from 18 schools in Pasir Mas, 953 students in five schools in Jakarta, 588 students in six schools in Kuala Krai and 214 students at a school in Westport.

Schools in Pasir Mas were closed are Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Kampung Baru, SK Rahmat, SK Gual Tokdeh, SK Rantau Panjang, SK Lubok Stol, SK Sri Rantau Panjang 2, SK Kok Pauh, SK Sri Rantau Panjang 1.

Sekolah Agama Bantuan Kerajaan (SABK) Al Falah Flush, SABK Diniah Bongor, Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina (SJKC) Khay Boon, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Rantau Panjang, SMK Tiang Chandi, SMK Gual Tinggi, SK Kedai Tanjong, SK Bakong, SK Gual Gual Periok Sitok and SMK.

In Kuala Krai, it involves giving SK, SK Bahagia, SK Ladang Taku, SK Pasir Kelang, SK Kuala Nal and SABK Saadatul Qura.

Five schools were closed in Tanah Merah is SMK KERILLA farm, farm KERILLA SK, SK Sokor, SK Kampung Panjang and SK Tebing Tinggi while in Westport, only involving SK Pulau Beluru.

The closure of all schools that are following the route to school was flooded and dangerous to students and teachers.
