PORT DICKSON: Umno supreme council member Datuk Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim has lodged a police report alleging he was assaulted while making his way to the nomination centre here.
He claimed that the incident happened yesterday while he was walking through an area filled with PAS supporters towards the Port Dickson Municipal Council hall.
State police chief Senior Asst Comm (I) Datuk Osman Salleh said police were investigating the matter.
“Datuk Azeez claimed that he was shoved and punched in the back while walking through a crowd of PAS supporters.
“We do not have any suspects yet but we will be speaking to witnesses to ascertain what transpired,” he said.
