PETALING JAYA: The national badminton champion Datuk Lee Chong Wei won the fourth title at the All England Badminton Championships Barclaycard Arena, Birmingham on Sunday.
The world No.1 took just 45 minutes to beat Chinese player Shi Yuqi after starting well in the first set with 21-12.
In the second set, Chong Wei continued subdued pace consistent with Yuqi 21-10 and clinch his first title this year.
According to Chong Wei after the match, he will continue to defend the title next year.
"All England among my favorite tournament and will also compete at the World Championships in Glasgow action (August) later.
"Thanks to the fans who continue to support me."
For the record, Chong Wei won the All England champion also won in 2010, 2011 and 2014.
