KUALA LUMPUR: The comedian Harith Iskander awakened with a cash prize of RM100,000 at the award dinner in conjunction with the victory in the game Funniest Person in the World in Finland December 10 last.
Prizes were donated by the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) as the value of excellence lifted Malaysia at the international level.
Its minister, Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Salleh Said Keruak also present at the event to present the prize to Harith.
In the meantime, Harith in his speech, said he did not expect to surprise them and regard it as sustenance.
Even Harith said he was touched when Salleh very concerned to learn of participation through competition.
"I thought he came across on the show and I was surprised when he asked about my participation through competition.
"In fact, he even asked me to contact him if you need any help and support," he said.
Earlier, a comedian who has been in this industry for more than 25 years it managed to beat the 88 comedians from around the world participating in the competition.
