EVER since the inception of Amber Chia Academy (ACA) back in August 2010, the supermodel’s resolution for 2011 is to establish three academies in total by the year’s end.
She exceeded that resolution target with the grand opening of ACA Berjaya Times Square recently.
ACA Berjaya Times Square is the fourth academy to be launched in Malaysia, with the other academies being located in Petaling Jaya, Malacca and Penang.
The grand opening was also in conjunction with Chia’s 30th birthday celebration on Dec 1.
“With a fourth Amber Chia Academy, I could not have asked for a better birthday present to cap off an extremely eventful but rewarding year.
“And with an ideal location such as Berjaya Times Square, I am sure that our presence will be felt even stronger than ever within the beauty and fashion industry as we provide such an excellent platform for learning of the creative arts,“ said Chia.
During the grand opening, catwalk guru Benjamin Toong and Miss Malaysia World 2010/2011 Nadia Heng as well as guests were treated to a fashion show and a makeup showcase by graduates and current students of ACA.
Heng was hosting as one of the ACA Berjaya Times Square’s new partners as well as a former student of ACA Petaling Jaya.
Being the first ACA with a noticeably more upscale and futuristic design, its luxurious exterior and interior are inspired by world class modelling and makeup studios.
Featuring the use of many shiny surfaces and mirrors to complement the utilisation of bright lights and state-of-the-art equipment, they collectively lend a breath of fresh air to the academy’s chic-ness.
The ACA in Berjaya Times Square will be in operation every day of the week, with weekend courses and classes offered.
Notable courses offered at the ACA is Chia’s signature course Modelling Advanced Photo and Video, where Chia herself will be teaching the entire course.
Additionally, besides the existing modelling, makeup and photography courses, brand new modelling courses specifically for children as well as beauty courses on nail art will be introduced from next year.
Extra curricular workshops and activities on the performing arts including acting, singing and dancing will also be made available in future.
