THE school holiday mood was evident as leading children’s apparel brand, Poney unveiled its elegant timeless winter during the recent Malaysia International Fashion Week (MIFW) at Zebra Square, Kuala Lumpur.
MIFW is an ongoing effort by Malaysian International Fashion Alliance (Mifa) to support the professional development of fashion designers.
Poney’s participation during MIFW injected a chic, laidback mood through the clothes, timepieces, eyewear and footwear showcased.
The Poney fashion show saw models strutting down the runway in the latest winter 2011 collection with smart classic cotton trench blazer matches with contrast mandarin collar gingham shirt fit to the slim-fit denim in medium dorn wash.
For the young boys, one of the key looks is cable yarn knit hooded fur in a soft hand feel mixed with classic plaid pattern shirt and a pair of low rise slim denim.
A smart look for little girls include wool jacket with netting diamond brooch and ruffle trimming details, layered with clean and smart long sleeved shirt with ruffle trim on both sides of placket and match with a gorgeous skirt.
Poney chief operating officer, Gan Teck Hooi said, “Our fashion show in MIFW has become a definitive event on kids fashion as it features the best from the latest collection.”
In addition, performance by popular singer Noryn Aziz got the audience cheering.
And in the spirit of giving for the upcoming Christmas celebration, Poney donated clothes to two charity homes, House of Joy and Yayasan Sunbeam Home.
