What say you on the issue below?

THE otherwise serene atmosphere at Dataran Ipoh was transformed into a mood of revelry as thousands thronged the city square last weekend.

Having fun: Two members of a brass band from Parit Buntar entertaining the crowd at Dataran Ipoh.

Filled with laughing children and equally excited adults, the Bank Rakyat Carnival was packed with events back-to-back.

There were street soccer competitions, a display of car sound systems, automotive graphic competition, cooking competition and a host of other games and quizzes for young and old.

All pumped up: This curious young boy standing in front of the deafening and thunderous sound from a car at the automotive graphic competition.

Several march bands and brass bands also provided part of the entertainment throughout the two-day event.

To the delight of the crowd, there was also an open-air concert by popular local artiste, AC Mizal.

Among the 50 booths that were set up during the carnival, potter Rosdi Jaraee’s booth was a crowd favourite as visitors were given a chance to try their hands at pottery there.
