A 40-year-old woman in Mumbai was arrested for killing her son when he allegedly tried to molest her.
The Times of India reported her two other sons helped her.
Durgawati Maurya lived with her three sons.
The elder son Chandhresh (22) came home drunk and repeatedly tried to molest his mother, the police said.
Seeing this, the two younger siblings Suresh (17) and Ramesh, rushed to help.
Chandresh brandished a chopper at them.
The two younger sons managed to take the weapon and used it to hack his abdomen.
"The woman said her two younger sons were so incensed witnessing her being tortured by their brother every day that they could not contain their anger and attacked him with a chopper. The next moment, she hit him with a grinding stone," said a police officer.
Assistant commissioner of police (Sakinaka division) K S Chaudhary said, "The mother said she was fed up with her elder son who was an alcoholic. Every day, he molested her and fought with his brothers for no reason.”
