WHO says learning maths is difficult?
A group of 100 participants were able to learn the easy methods to master the subject during a Magic Maths seminar held at the NUBE Hall in Kuala Lumpur recently.
The participants, including primary school pupils, attended the six-hour programme. Renowned professor M. A. Thiruthuvadoss explained to the participants simple ways of calculations.
Student P. T. Divya Devi found the programme interesting and exciting.
“I had always found maths a tough subject. But now I have learnt some new techniques.
“I hope the new skill will help as I will be sitting for my SPM next year,’’ said Divya Devi.
Thiruthuvadoss, who is from Chennai, India, has been teaching the techniques since 2001. He has conducted about 600 workshops to students, teachers, parents and lecturers.
His first visit to Malaysia was in September where students who attended found the programme informative.
“Maths is not a tough subject, It needs a lot of practice. I have done a lot research and found simple and easy ways to calculate,’’ said Thiruthuvadoss.
He will be conducting his second programme, in English, at the NUBE Hall in Brickfields from Dec 19-21. For more information, contact 016-659 0709.
