From Saturday, MASwings bans hoverboards

What say you on the issue below?

KOTA KINABALU: Local airline MASwings is banning two-wheeled self-balancing scooters known as hoverboards on its aircraft from Saturday.
The airline said the ban was due to the unstable nature of lithium batteries that power these vehicles.
In a statement Friday, MASwings said that it was generally accepted that lithium batteries were prime hazards prone to damage and spontaneous combustion.
“Hence in view of safety issue, an embargo on uplifting the item on air travel is urgently put in place,” the airline said.
It said the move to embargo the carriage was in line with the decision made by the Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB).
