KUALA LUMPUR: An electrical contractor was found shot dead in his office located in a shophouse at Pandan Indah Commercial Centre in Ampang.
Lau Thong Chew, 46 was found slumped on his chair with a gun-shot wound on his neck by his employee at around 2pm yesterday.
Selangor Deputy CID chief Asst Comm Khaw Kok Chin said there were signs of a struggle and several bullet holes were found in the wall.
“We believe a 9mm automatic pistol was used based on the three bullet casings and two live bullets found at the scene,” he said.
He added that police did not rule out the motive was business related.
The body was sent to Hospital Ampang for a post-mortem.
