Black Eyed Peas flies in for concert and feelin' good

What say you on the issue below?

SEPANG: Grammy award-winning Black Eyed Peas flew into Kuala Lumpur Thursday and they gotta feeling it’s going to be a good night tonight.

“Hello Malaysia,” shouted apl.de.ap, a member of the group, as the band exited the VIP lounge at the KL International Airport.

The spunky rapper, who sports a mohawk hairdo, posed with several fans who greeted them.

Let’s get it started: (from left) will.i.am, Fergie, Taboo and appl.de.ap arriving at the KL International Airport Thursday.

The only female vocalist in the hip-hop outfit, Stacy Ferguson or better known as Fergie, smiled and waved before she and fellow members will.i.am and Taboo were whisked away by bodyguards.

Their arrival was kept under wraps by concert organiser Galaxy Productions.

“They will meet the local media at a press conference today,” said a spokesman.

The band is expected to belt out their hits like Boom Boom Pow, I Gotta Feeling, Where Is The Love and Let’s Get It Started when they take to the stage at the Sunway Lagoon surf pool tonight in conjunction with Arthur’s Day celebration.

Joining them will be local singer Reshmonu and Taiwan’s MC HotDog.

Kuala Lumpur is the only city in Asia to be chosen by Guinness for the historic global event. Similar events were held in Dublin, New York, Yaounde and Lagos.

Tickets to the show are priced at RM100 each. Universal Music Malaysia has also released a special Malaysian edition of the band’s latest album, The E.N.D (Energy Never Dies). Those who buy the standard international edition will also get a limited edition t-shirts.

Entry to the concert is confined to individuals above 18 years old.
