PORT DICKSON: PAS president Datuk Abdul Hadi Awang acknowledged that it would be an uphill struggle for his party to win in the by-election but the Opposition would fight “all out”.
Abdul Hadi said despite the “handicap”, PAS and its partners in Pakatan Rakyat would go all out to ensure a win for the Opposition.
“We may be running the gauntlet but we are not here to throw in the towel. We will take Barisan all the way to the finish line,” he said.
There are 4.604 postal votes in the Bagan Pinang constituency.

State Opposition chief Anthony Loke Siew Fook said their side must work harder to wrest the seat from Barisan.
Kubang Kerian PAS assemblyman Datuk Husam Musa said the “underdog” tag suited the Opposition fine, adding that PAS had the better candidate.
Several opposition leaders also questioned a remark by candidate Tan Sri Isa Samad that he was a local, noting that he was actually Malacca-born. PAS Youth chief Nasrudin Hassan Tantawi said: “We remain optimistic that we can win the constituency with our candidate.”
PAS is represented by its state commissioner Zulkefly Mohd Omar.
